The spiritual hub shows the influence of Buddhism over the land.

  • Wat Arun
    Located across the Chao Phraya River, it is evergreen tourist destination of the place. The history of War Arun, dates back to the era of battles between the majestic king Siam and Burma. At that time it was damaged severely, but it was Taksin and the remaining survivors that took the initiative to re-build the temple of Dawn. Wat Arun is the architectural representation of center of Universe in Buddhist cosmology. In addition to it, this place is also known for its magnificent sunset sights.

  • Wat Traimit, Temple of the Golden Buddha
    Wat Traimit is an age old pilgrim of Buddha’s followers. It is around 200 years old, while the exact date of its origin is still uncertain. It belongs from the Sukhothai period, when it was a common practice to paint the precious idols with the plaster so as to rescue them from the invaders like marauding. The 46 meters long and 15 meter high gold plated Buddha statue is the reflection the Nirvana state of Buddha. There is a story about the temple that, it’s glory came to the public when a saint saw the golden shine through the plaster when it was trying to remove from its location by the crane.

  • Wat Suthat
    This prodigious Buddhist temple is the one of the most beautiful temples of the city Bangkok. It took around a decade for its completion. The construction began during the empire of Rama 1st and lasted till the later year of Rama 3rd. The calmness and profound art of the temple attracts tourist to book direct flights to Bangkok.

  • Bangkok Klongs
    Earlier it was used as the canal for the transportation and commerce; it is because of this canal Bangkok was also known by the name ‘The Venice of the East’. Now, it is used as street to travel across the city. It offers a mixed version of the city- somewhat ugly and somewhat beautiful. It is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the sightseeing of the city.
